The Democracy at Work Institute (DAWI) is launching Worker Ownership Cities, a multi-year initiative equipping cities to preserve legacy businesses, create quality jobs, and expand entrepreneurship pathways for workers facing employment barriers. DAWI will employ a train-the-trainer approach to equip city-based cohorts with a road-tested framework for developing and launching successful worker cooperatives or converting existing businesses to worker ownership.
