The Democracy at Work Institute (DAWI) has launched Worker Ownership Cities, a multi-year initiative equipping cities to preserve legacy businesses, create quality jobs, and expand entrepreneurship pathways for workers facing employment barriers. The Foundation is supporting DAWI and technical assistance partners to equip city and county officials with road-tested frameworks for developing business conversion pipelines and long-term infrastructure for launching and sustaining successful worker-owned businesses.
